You should see our sassafras tree. A leaf might be red, gold and green all at the same time ... until eventually turning an almost luminescent gold. Accentuated by the red brick building on one side and the gray November evening sky on the other, the mitten shapes glow, especially right after sunset. In the daytime, the adjacent frosty purple-blue juniper berries against this only-found-in-nature gold are achingly beautiful.
And no, I haven't tried to make homemade root beer, at least yet.
Not quite as old as dirt, but getting there. As happy as I choose to be at any given time. Delighted to share my humble but adequate opinion at any time. Trying to do the right thing because it is the right thing to do and doing the next right thing when I screw up...
