Welcome Spring

He is having a grand time this spring and lets me know every morning

It was warm for 2 days and every tree in town busted out in bloom,
I am surprised that there aren't little trusses on all the branches from the effort

And how typical of New Mexico spring is this? Again this Saturday morning we woke to the traditional first day of spring blizzard, giant snowflakes and by noon, it was reduced to this...

Grace in small things:
1. Not even a jacket today!
2. A brand spanking new supply of PoGo paper for my shiny pink PoGo printer...I've been out of paper for 2 weeks! I bought all I could find on line...
3. Free pastry day at Starbucks tomorrow...chocolate donut here I come!
4. Friends willing to go to the movies at the same time but see different movies
5. A softness to the light and the air that can only mean spring. I am a happy girl!

March 11, 2010

7:00 on my way to work...

then

12:00 at my office...

then...

4:30 on my way home...

gotta love spring in New Mexico...but I tell ya they have just one week to get this sorted out because I am packing up those socks on the first day of Spring and that's that. I do expect one more snow around Easter, but it better start warming up and that sun better get shining...I moved to the desert for a reason!

Grace in small things:
1. Warmth in the wind
2. Beets, yes I love them, shredded raw or cooked or pickled. They brightened my day today.
3. My shiny new purple Blackberry phone...and I would love it more if I could figure it all out, but I did figure out to hook up the shiny pink PoGo printer so when I learn how to take good pictures, I will be able to print them wireless-ly!!! I know!!! I'm cool, that's right, cool...
4. One smiling happy face that never fails to make me smile and look at things differently.
5. Freebies all over the web. Last week I was home sick and when I was awake, I was cruising for embroidery patterns, vintage ones, funky ones, hand made ones and I found so many amazing sites that share so freely. Yeah, I'm set, just as soon as I get something to embroider on, and learn how to transfer patterns, and where the thread is...I'm gonna be an embroidering fool!

Slaying Dragons

takes all my energy and compared to what my friends are going through...
mine are more like lizards, but I'll be back soon.
And is it my imagination or does Albuquerque have lots and lots of dragons?
