Surprise trip

This is where I was last night. And what the sun set looks like when you are headed east.
And this is where I woke up this morning. I came to Bethesda and after working 11 hours today, these are my only pictures, except for the ones I took on 15 minute break at lunch time when I found the most wonderful store in the world. Or maybe I was just so glad to get out of a conference room that my mind is playing tricks on me. We'll see when I wake up and can think clearly enough to download the pictures. Just a quick post, no pictures although I did carry my camera around all night,

THE SHOW WAS FABULOUS!!

Old friends, new friends,
good food and
the best surprise EVER..
my niece and nephew flew in from Denver just for the show
and boy was I surprised!!
I alternated between sobbing and grinning most of the night.
I also SOLD 5 of the 8 pieces, (some to strangers!!!)
had wonderful conversations with wonderful people,
carried cauliflower in my pocket most of the night,
thought at one point I was having a stroke,
only to realize my phone
was on vibrate
in my pocket...
about an hour later!

Thanks for all the good wishes,
it was the best 08-08-08 I have ever had.
We are thinking of doing 10-10-10,
hummm maybe that too far away.

08x08x08 Finally!

It's finally here!! This is the last piece I finished, my Wabi Sabi flower girl. I'm glad I did it, I'm glad I finished all 8, I'm glad it's over! Now, it's just the fun part! See you tonight?

We hung the show on Sunday and it is wonderful! I am so impressed with all the talent and the 8 foot by 8 foot piece is amazing. This baby is already sold! And it will be straighten for the show. See ya there!
